Death Blow :: Tutorial
Alon Chou couldn’t resist creating some great fan art after seeing the ‘Transformers’ movie. He went on to create a pretty cool battle and won a CGChoice for his effort.

Simply stunning, what an action shot! I enjoyed reading your thoughts and motives for illustration- telling the entire story, you definitley achieved that! The anticipation of that blow is thicker than a smoke bomb. I think the poses of the secondary characters are well worth an extra look. After prying my brain for a weakness, i can't find one....but i do have one suggestion - maybe you could show just a hint more emotion from Optimus? Give a few more facial details or cues to his pre-strike mentality? I don't know, the pose is great, but he seems just slightly disconnected from the viewer. Anyway, feel free to ignore that if you want, but seriously this is a compelling scene.
