Kawasaki Ninja Zx10R (3/4 RearShot), Linus Hofmann (3D)

Title: Kawasaki Ninja Zx10R (3/4 RearShot)
Name: Linus Hofmann
Country: Ireland
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay

This is a fairly old project of mine done in 2005. The whole thing took me about 5 months in total and I had great fun making it. It was started as an exercise in modelling mechanical detail and I tried to make it as accurate as possible. :)

486 individual meshes
8.45 million polygons

Looks spot on, fantastic faultless work even down to the colouring of the parts, engine casing and brake details.

Exceptionally good modelling lighting and rendering !
For those that seek perfection there can be no rest this side of the grave !

Absolutely unreal. Clearly one of the best motorbike models I've ever seen. It takes someone quite brave to model a bike due to the details required. A full and worthy 5 stars to you. Congratulations.

I beg you to put it in an environment now...

This looks like a wonderful detailed model.
Great materials and lighting too!
This is amazing... so much details and
so many different materials of the
parts... phantastic. 5* from me to!

cool model and rendering! I was looking at some images on the web and comparing with your image you´ve done a very accurate model, the only thing that bothers me is the miss of some metallic brights and reflections , the whole thing looks plastic, like a plastic mini model.

caught somewhere in time

i'm not even going to comment on how good the modeling is, but the shaders are very good , the black rubber/plastic material on the bike look like it should very real.

This bikes really amazing!
Honestly, its one of the most detailed bikes I've seen in CG, and thats the truth. The materials help the realism in the render also. Especially the slight reflective properties of the rubber, etc.

8.5 million polys haha... it'll be a while before we see this kind of model in use for a game, huh?
*Detail is the Key to realism*
Finished Projects:
