Rendering for D1

I was wondering at what resolution do I need to render to output on a D1 at optimal quality (NTSC) ?

720*486 ?

Ciao

We use PAL system, so our resolution is 720x576, so I believe that your resolution is correct for NTSC, the only thing you have to take care is the pixel aspect ratio.
When I'm working at PAL resolution I'm doing my rendering at 720x576 with a pixel aspect ratio of 1.0667.
I think that for NTSC (720x486) the pixel aspect it's 0,9.
So if you're scaling images from film resolution you have to remember to add a scaling on Y of 0.9

Thanks alex, I knew what resolution to render to output on NTsc, I just wasn't sure if it was different to output on D1.

OK, sorry! Anyway, your resolution is correct for D1.
