New Guy: ship

Hi guys, been a while since I've been active on cgtalk, but I finally got my Wacom and started working on speedpainting, Im learning, as a matter of fact, this is my first actual drawing using my Intuos, I could really use some pointers or tips on how to continue and improve!

Ita WIP, been on it like 1 hour, its really hard for me because I am really not used to the tablet, so it will take me a while to get used to it

this looks cool. all i would say is when doing stuff like that you dont have to paint in all the sharp lines by hand. you should use curves and stuff. well all the tools you can. there there to help. so use them. then do shading by hand.
