What is the best source for human and animals movement references?

What is the best source for human and animals movement references?Books,dvds or whatever you got on mind tell me.

Hmm,there is a collection of over 500 motions in bip format - character studio.What is that character studio? I work in maya and i am gonna need to only preview those files as animaton reference.Do i need to have 3d studio max or whatever to view them?

Really, the best reference for movement is yourself.

video tape yourself doing the action you want to animate. It's the best reference because you know exactly what you want the character to do, what's in his/her/it's frame of mind at the time.

Plus, you also know how the animation should FEEL as well as look.
