Very impressive stuff here so far. I would like to join in on the matte fun.
This is my very first attempt at matte painting, but I was wondering if I can use 3d elements along with the 'painting'. I want to make the floor and stairs in 3d while darkening the room and adding some 'life'. If this is fine I will be posting my wip soon.
Best wishes to all who enter.

Hi, of course 3D is allowed, matte painitng is a blend of many many digital techniques, you can use photos, 2D painting, 3D elements as long as they help you achieve your concept
welcome and good luck
