What do you do during simulation time?

Today i finished three shots for a truck crash using fume, bit of box#3 and Flow in general...

i had my PSP along with at work and i got two new books from guy kawasaki i read atm:

http://www.amazon.com/Art-Start-Tim...76242661&sr=8-1

http://www.amazon.com/Rules-Revolut...76242752&sr=8-2

so that´s what i do during simulation time playing mortal kombat, metal slug or i read my books because i have a 100% system load and even firefox creeps away...

how about u?

Eh eh!

If possible I do simulations on a extra machine, sometimes I multitask, having 2 versions of Max open at one time. I been doin around the clock FumeFx simulation on one spare machine for 3 weeks now.
Normally do my round of net browsing, on my fave news and sports and CG sites.

Oh and drink looooooaaads of delicious coffee..we have the best coffee machine in town.

well depends on what were talking about here. in college now when i had simualtions to do i would let them start and go take a quick puff or two on the wacky tabacy. but now that im older im not doing as many rendered shots as the game world does not need them. but when i do i try to do them over night when i sleep. i also had to get a extra machine to do my sims on and one to work on so i am not impeeded in anyway. it was a good thing becasue i had a glu sim one time take allmost 2 weeks to sim (thats a lot of wacky tabacy )

Great topic -- I have two workstations at work... =) So I usually end up doing something simless on my second computer. Maybe a little R&D for something else... at home it's a totally dif story. I'll play on the turntables for a bit, or watch some tv or play with the dog.

During simulation, or render time, I build plastic model kits. Fun stuff.

great!

nice PixelMagic! i did plastic model stuff when i was younger too

just to make one thing clear not to arise any suspicion i wouldn´t do my job at work : IF i have two mashines of cause i work on other shots...but like in 30% of the assignments i hit a project with my mobile workstation notebook only...so if sim-time can´t be delayed into night time i do fun stuff

kind regards
