particle combust

Does anyone know if peter watje's plugin 'particle combust' works with particle flow? Not having any luck getting it to work. Is there a script or way to attach combust atmosphere gizmos to particle flow particles?

There's an example script in the maxscript reference describing exactly this. The aim is to make 'steam' rise from a teapot using atmosphereic gizmos that follow the particle's positions
