Eddie, glad you're gonna be onboard. Somebody posted a Hopkins on ZBrush central a few months back, fall - timeframe. I remember there were some neat reference pics posted to thread by others to help the guy.

Try doing a search on the site, hope you get lucky!

If you're Hannibal is half as good as your Medusa, it will be awesome!

Great start Will, can't wait to see it textured. Looks just like Cary, are you going to sculpt in some more of the hard details (creases) or work with bump/normal maps?

Thumbs up

Diabolos,

Thanks for your words of encouragement. I hope to take this to the pores with ZBrush diplacement maps.

Looks like you've made a good start on King Arthur! Good Luck!

Had to go back to Silo and remirror the base mesh. A couple of verts didn't make the transition to ZBrush. I fixed the topology. I started over from the base mesh in ZBrush.

Here's the latest tool with painted texture and light displacement.

Awesome Start man. Absolutely looking forward to seeing your final piece if it's looking this much like Carey in the beginning.

I can see that the model is Cary Grant, did you use 3D painting tools? I have not used those before in maya. Or are you going to texture him?

I painted the texture in Projection Master in ZBrush. I plan to texture using alphas for pores.

AndreKing, thanks. Cary Grant was a major Hollywood star. His work for Hitchcock was outstanding. Worth a look.

Victorius, thanks.
