Omg Help

I just got mudbox and i imported an .obj from XSI , i'm trying to use bulge and pinch and what not but look what happens

Are you using a tablet? If so try pressing lighter or playing with the Pen Pressure settings on the right (when any tool is selected). I also looks like your poly count may be too low, try subdividing. Increasing you're brush size could help too.

Although I havent seen PINCH do that!

well i took all of your advice ...but its still happening . however...when i created a sphere and sub-d'd it..everything was working fine..so i'm guessing something to do with xsi exporting the model incorrectly into a .obj or something like that...

That's possible. I know Lightwave's OBJ files come out very tiny in Mudbox, so you have to scale it up like 14000% before exporting. I'm not sure if Mudbox uses any sort of real-world scale, like a head being roughly 1' tall.

damn it....now its doing the same thing with just a regular spherre sub'd' 3 levels created in mudbox...also stamp isn't working...i think the whole install was corrupt...

the same thing happened to me, you mesh is too small relatively to the grid (ie: scale your mesh a bit)

Its a scale issue, scale it up at least 10X.

try deleting your settings folder, then trying again
