Mudbox help

How do you work with a mesh that has 2 sides very close together. For example a helmet where the inside and outside are very close together. When you are working on the outside its very easy to move the mesh past the inside part and get all kinds of ugly problems.

Thanks for the help.

you could try freezing the parts you dont want to affect

Well its not I do not want to affect them but want to affect both the inside and outside together so they stay the same distance relative to each other.

Mudbox is excellent for organic and semi organic models, but for doing hard surface work, you're probably better off in a different 3d package, at this point.
