Gradient to weight map

Hi guys,
I'm looking for a plugin or something that can convert a gradient in the render tree to weight map. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if there is a grad to weightmap plugin, but as a workaround you could rendermap the gradient and then use one of the image to weightmap plugins available from helge mathee or www.motionblur.it

la maison has released some useful tools for weight maps, and it includes some gradients. They won't convert a gradient from the render tree, but they might be worth investigating as an alternative approach:

Is there a reason you can't render out the gradient and use it as a texture map instead of a weight map?

Thanks for the replies guys. Damn, I forgot about Helges Plugin. Will try it.
But I would prefer not to use rendermaps though, I'd like to animate the gradient in the rendertree and make the scene as light as possible memory wise.

But I'll give it a go.
cheerio.

edit: I just checked out Alamasions site. Pretty nice!
