Dominance War 2-Red Republik

thumbnail

the ancient titans reached the pinacle of art and technology, then went dormant. They were awakened by the war that was tearing the galaxy apart, and sent their own warriors to restore peace. they don't use guns or bombs, relying instead on melee weapons and their incredible strengh and intelligence. they wear high tech armor of beautiful craftmanship, and carry shields that protect them from ballistic weapons.

Thumbs up

Nice, should make for some good material contrast between the skin, armor, cloth and glowies... The shin guards are very cool. Can't wait to see the weapons\shield... Will we get to see his face?

hmm, looking great so far, my initial ideas are going in a similar direction but I'm a fair bit behind on nailing my design. I'll be really interested to see where you take this.

Again, this is a nice design in different circumstances, but this is not a contest where understatement wins votes.
The first and foremost criteria is sheer popularity.
You have to be big, bold and badass in this contest, and think outside the box.

i am starting to agree with you, oDDity. I want to keep this basic idea but take it to the next level. unfortunatly, subtlety is my strength, not over the top designs. any suggestions on where i could take it? btw i am a big fan of your art style.

The sort of outrageous leetness of design required here isn't my strong point, but all you have to do is look at previous winners to see what the judges want, and the other entries which make you think 'this guy really has a good chance of winning' to see what qualities make up a potential winner.

design

i like your design, and i like it because it is does not have that typical "look" of the others. i wouldn't try to conform yours to be like the others. looking forward to see how this one develops.

trying to push the idea further without losing the initial thoughts behind it.
