First Concept Rough

I finally have a rough started for my concept. I still need to work on the armor and would like to make him more asymmetric. I'll be posting a more finished version sometime tomorrow. His hands are going to be made out of rock and I want the effect to crawl up his arms. I also want to give him a bit more of a sci-fi feel on the next pass. Think of it as Stargate with Aztecs instead of Egyptians.

Proportion Page

I'm not happy with my initial rough, so I wanted to do a more detailed pass on the anatomy before I started worrying about the armor and weapons. I'm not use to designing such exaggerated characters, so I wanted to plan things out a little better.

Later this week I should have some of the rough armor passes completed.

Your initial rough was a very strong one imho, will be good to see what you do with this new one

Thanks... I will probably use a lot of the features of the original sketch, I just need to adjust a few things. It's a lot easier to explore on paper before I jump into the modeling. It's been a while since I've worked in 2D that I keep looking for that <CTRL-Z> button.
