HARDCORE MODELING CHALLENGE: Ray Harryhausen Tribute: Minoton Bust

HARDCORE MODELING CHALLENGE: Ray Harryhausen Tribute: Minoton Bust

Hello everybody, Its a cool challenge and I don't want to miss it. I like the idea of bust, and I'll try to make a few of them (maybe), the first I'm working on is the Minoton. I'm using as reference some images, and the cold cast resin model from X-Plus.

Still got to do some stuff, the shoulders (front and back), the chain of the amulet, and the base. The face needs some fix.
I'm using Maya and Mudbox.

I'm having some issues to attach images (I'm newbie in the forum), so I'll add a link to my website, sorry for inconveniences.

Low poly model, Maya. The lowest is before conversion to subdivisions for fast extra detail, and the right model is after subdivisions.

That mudbox sculpt already looks great.

Hello again, I'm already done with modelling. I'll do something with the base, but don't really know what.

I'l do some texturing, and as soon as I finish I'll prepare and upload the final entry.

Here is the link.

Here it is, it is too static, too close to a chess pawn.
But I'm quite happy with the result, and playing with mudbox.
Finally I did somehting with the base, (but I'm afraid I shouldn't).

About the bust challenge, I like the idea of busts, but I think it's unfair because of the amount of work other categories take.
I wanted to take part in Harryhausen's tribute and not getting involved in a gigantic amount of work, just for fun.
