Flash Animations

Hi everyone.

I started using flash recently, and ive hit a bit of trouble.. when you create motion tweens, the movement is always very evenly paced. is there a way to ease in or ease out the movement?

like in maya, you have the graph editor - is there something similar to that in flash?

id really appreciate your help
chris.

Flash Help

Hi Chris

Flash MX (version 8) introduced motion graphs similar to those found in Maya etc. To use them setup your tween on your timeline and then with your mouse click on a frame inside the tween. In your properties panel you will see an edit button specific to your particular animation tween. Click on the edit button to launch the graphs. From the pop up that comes up you will be able to access a variety of graphs to suit your purpose.

If you have a version of Flash preceeeding 8 you will have to resort to doing it the old fashioned way via setting up your own keyframes.

Hope that helps.
Cheers,

Or you can.....

You can break them into key frames and edit each frame instead.

It is easy. You can do this on older versions of Flash as well.

When you select a type of tween in the property window, then just below the Tween selection box, an "Ease" box appears. -100 is slow in fast out. +100 is fast in slow out. 0 is a steady rate.
