Mental Ray - Fillet on concave sharp edges?


I wonder if anyone can tell me if there is any way to get a continuous mesh to fillet the edges in an A&D mr material when they are concave, for example the base of an extruded poly?

The only way I've managed to do it is to separate the mesh itself - it seems a little odd that it can't do it if the mesh is all one surface.

I see the help file mentions this - it's a shame that you have to intersect the geometry to get it to work, since f-edge will do it (but doesn't work in mental ray, sadly)

One for the wishlist maybe.
