Question Arm position for bind skin...

I 'm wondering which arm position is the best for bind skin, rigging and drawing a skeletons.

- hands down beside the legs. I|I

- 45 degree position. /|\

- 90 degree with the body. T

anyone has any suggestions with these? cuz I found every pose by a lot of modeler.

Depends on the range of motion of your character. I suggest it be 1/2 way in between the extreme position of your arms. Which is usually either 45 or (close to) horizontal to the ground plane.

The reason most dont leave the arms to the sides is both for deformation and when rigging much of the hips could be weighted to the arm bones (depending how you bind).

Hey LeConcorde,

Doogie has a good idea there at a 45 position. Most of the time your char is going to be arms down or raised to a parallel
position to the ground. For me I always articulat the arms straight out perpendicular to the body and palms down.
