2.5 hour animation drill, critiques welcome

For school I had 2.5 hours to animate a scene with a character trying to use a jetpack. (although I should mention I was told about it beforehand so I had time to think about and practice the animation)

hey i think thats great for 2.5 hours. Good job. One critique I have is on his fall, I know you are going for a pretty cartoony fall: to add some contrast with the hold when he's at his peak, make him fall faster, i think it will give it a more snappier reaction. Also, his right arm is too lifeless versus his left. I would either tone down both, or hyperactivate both. But really good work for such a short time!

That is very cool animation!
I liked it!
But the thing that u need to fix is when the jetpack fire! the "fire" goes over the left hand of the guy and u have to work again with his movement when he start to fly!
