Maya Foundation vs. Learning Maya Books

Hello everyone,

I was at the book store looking for a book for beginners in maya and came across 2 books that looked good and was wondering what your recommendations would be. They were the Maya Foundation books by Alias, and Learning Maya by Autodesk. There was a significant price difference and was wondering if there was a reason for this. Friends have recommended the Maya Foundation books, but I wanted to get opinions from all of you.

Thanks in advance.

i'd go for autodesk version, as that's the newest i think. As it aint Alias anymore.

But if you realy would like to learn quick, buy online tutorials, my favorite is digitaltutors.com
