Since it's a Maya file and not a movie file you'll have to have Maya to open it up in and watch it.

Any movie file at all?

Is there any way you can provide us with any sort of movie file?

I like it though looking at it from the screens.

Here's the movie file:

Ignore the flickering of the stars which I need to fix. If you have any advice on how I can improve the motion I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Thanks for the film.

Its looking good. You asked for thoughts and critque, here are mine. The antenna does not always flow with the characters actions, and it doesnt always have the same stiffness, or lack there of. For instance, when the robot goes to take his first bite, the antenna is sticking straight up, there is no bend to it. When the robot comes into the scene the antenna is pointing backwards, then straight up, then down, then when he leans to bite it is straight up.

When you look further into the film, the antenna more matches the characters movements and actions, it shows more anticiapation and follow through.

The movement over the character looks pretty good, but I just feel the most concern about the antenna. I really like the concept though.

Do you have any story boards for the work?

Let me know if this helps. Good luck!

LOL dude i know it just didn't work

I agree with dude5487 about the antenna and stuff. Also, the only other thing I see immediately is that when he looks back at the egg that he poops out (btw hahahahahah), he merely glances at it and then swings his head back to us immediately. slowly, but immediately.

I want to see his head pause at least briefly when he looks back at that egg, before he looks back at us.

Otherwise, great work! looks awesome

I'm still working on the antenna and the last look around look---I'm also messing with the lighting and I was wondering looking on throughts of it. You can compare my last video with this one if you like.

Looking better

I think it is looking a lot better.

I am not trying to be annoying about this, I really like your animation, but there is one part in the middle of the animation where the antena doesnt work right. When the bot leans down to eat the blue one the antena doesnt go with the motion of the head, it stays pinned back, it doesnt go down the the head and come back up with the head, like in other parts of the animation.

I also think that when the egg comes back out at the end, when it comes out it looks to be stretching, but when it hits the ground, it doesnt squash and the stretch and return to its original form.

Your thoughts?

Keep it up!

Thank you for your reply.
Like I said in my last post I am still currecntly working on the antenna and all those things. It's definetly still a WIP. I was looking on some opinion on the lighting.

I have made improvements on the ending last night after I had rendered it, so what the link shows isn't my most up to date work. I'm wanted to know what people thought of the lighting, if colors were working, or if it was too dark, ect.

Oh Ok

I gotcha. Well I havent had much training or experience with lighting and that whole bit. But from what I see and have seen nothing really bothered me about the lighting. I feel like if anything the lighting allows the viewer to see the one egg flash, if everything was bright it wouldnt be as noticible, so I feel the overall lighting is good for what it is doing. But like I said I am no expert, maybe someone else can give better feedback.

Almost there. The animation is final in this piece, but I'm still working out some things in it.
