Happiness! short

I finished this short early last year but never posted it before. I've just got some time off and finally did up a website to post some of my old work. Take a browse and hope you enjoy!

Hi Atestheus,

I really like your clip. I think it's a little slow at the start. I liked how you incinerated the beach balls at the end. Well done mate.

Hey dude I've gotta say.....I really enjoyed this one!

You did a good job of animating everything and the exploding effect was a lot of fun to watch.

Congrats on finishing it!

I like!

At first I must admit I was a little warey, I think I was being a bit judgemental because its a robot!

But this was really nice! And it made me laugh, nice and bouncy to boot.

Well done! Mucho staro from me.

Too Cute

Like some of the others, I was a little weary at first. It seemed really slow but then it really got fired up... hehhe. One crit is that the beachballs seem off. Seems like they would bounce a little more. Nice work though. I liked that long shot of the robot all sad... ;-) Great job!

Caught this over at 3dTotal. I like the subtle, desaturated look of the whole piece-sets the emotional stage. Maybe if the sun had poked out at the end to accentuate the robots happiness. But we get the point, and I second the comments about the exploding beach balls-very cool, and so was watching all the balls drop from the sky. I shouldn't forget to mention that your texturing was really good too. Congrats on a great piece.

Hello again!

Thought I'd comment on the comment above about having the sun poke out when the robot get's happy to accentuate his emotion - I personally find that stuff kind of cheesy and am glad you didn't do that!!

(In Pixar's "Boundin'", however, they did it so exaggerated it was funny, so I guess I don't *always* hate it...)
