Sample particle color from UV Map of Position Object

Hello all,

I am now onto DVD 3 of Chris Thomas' Particle Flow Fundamental Set. I highly recommend this DVD set.

I have a question related to assigning a particle color based on the particle position and how it relates to the how it spawns Position Object UV Map.

Here is an example: I have a warped sphere and on this sphere is a checkered map. I am using this sphere as a position object to spawn my particles. I would like my particles to take on the same color of the checkers when they are spawned.

Is this possible?

Mapping Object operator from PFTools:Box#1 does exactly that.
