Question After Effect's "Video Out Preview"

In version 5 (and up) the is a preferance setting calles something like "Preview output", as far as I understand it enables me to output the current rendered frame or preview movie through a videocard and onto a video monitor.

I guess I have to download some driver or support software from the makers of my videocard to take advantage of this feature, whitch would be really great with my -not so well calibrated monitor-. (I have got a Pinnackle DVD2000 video card)

Anyone got any experience with this feature?
