Hi there!

I'm starting this thread 'cause Rebecca Kimmel keeps insisting we do that ah well, what can it hurt...

Anatomy Lesson Series: Body Part 1 - The Head - #003

so this is the first head I made for the 'body part 1 - the head' workshop.
it's done entirely in photoshop
and i think it was the one i struggled the most with.
at the end i gave up trying to make the mouth look right. that's why her expression doesn't quiet match that of the original painting.
I like the outcome nevertheless.

003:
ALLORI, Cristofano
Judith with the Head of Holofernes
1613
Oil on canvas, 120,4 x 100,3 cm
Royal Collection, Windsor

i made it on the same night as the first one, i was really full of enery then .
it's also done entirely in photoshop and i even made a small timelapse gif:

Anatomy Lesson Series: Body Part 1 - The Head - #019

my third head for the 'body part 1 - the head' workshop.
it'd been a while since i've modelled a head so i made this one in 3d
and was pleased that it took me 'only' about 3 hours or so.
it's done entirely in wings3d and what you see above is just a screenshot out of wings3d.
i might replace the above image with a real render when i get to it.

019:
BRACCI, Pietro
Bust of Pope Benedict XIII
1762-73
Marble, height 76,4 cm
Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, Madrid

i failed...

my nineth head for the 'body part 1 - the head' workshop.
done entirely in photoshop.
i like this one a lot even though it's not very close to the original.
i put the focus on the 3d effect and color on this one.

my 10th head for the 'body part 1 - the head' workshop.
done entirely in photoshop.
i tried a bit a different approach on this one
