car paint shader - mentalray

I downloaded the car paint shader, but it doesn't work! The material slot stay black.
Someone knows how to use this?

You need the include files:
http://www.maxplugins.de/mr_files/carpaint_includes.zip

There is also an updated 'base.mi' in the zip, make sure you back up your old one just in case...

Thanks man, but it still doesn't work. The material slot is completely black!
My max is the 7 SP1.

'Car paint phen' doesn't seem to work in Max 7, but you can still use the 'Metallic_paint' shader, which is basically the same but without the dirt mapping.

It's part of the car paint shader...
If you've installed the carpaint shader, then you will have the 'metallic_paint' shader in your list of materials.
