Exclamation Photobucket is Not Allowing Nudity

JUNE 5, 2006:

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT PHOTOBUCKET NOW DOES NOT ALLOW NUDE IMAGES TO BE HOSTED, ARTISTIC OR OTHERWISE.

This has been posing a problem for many of our members. Please report and link here posts containing missing / broken links due to Photobucket's No Nudity rule.

I am currently looking into other image hosting options. Please stay tuned. I would advise people not to contact Photobucket, as this will only draw attention to your account.

Unhappy

I'm guessing it's not helpful, but as you know, I use imageevent (for my potential drawing reference photos) ( http://imageevent.com ). I went looking for a nudity policy/statement and couldn't find one. But, I've used them for years and I know they're aware of me/my account, as I've contacted their technical support directly and interacted with them a couple of times by e-mail. Of course, they're not a free service either..... I'd noticed photobucket's policy before and wondered if it was going to present a problem. Sadly, too many folks can see only pornography in a human body, and sometimes web site policies reflect this (lack of) vision.

Hi Ben,

Good to see you on the boards! Thank you for this helpful information. Do you know if imageevent is like Photobucket, where you can link a URL of an image directly into a post, or is it mainly a photo gallery where you have to browse images within a separate gallery?

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

Lightbulb

I'm usually at least a little here, lurking around - I like to see what's going on (with whatever time I can). I think it should allow an image to directly post - here, let me try it....:

Smile

Ben,

That is sweet! I am headed out of town, but will definitely look into this when I get back. Thanks a lot for the info!

By the way ~ I think something that might be really popular, if you are interested ~ is if you make it known on a thread in the forums that you are willing to take requests (on a limited basis, however much time you can afford) for poses. I think people love your images but would also like to be able to create unique images, and not just copy works for the OFDWs.

*If* this appeals to you in any way, shape, or form, I would encourage you to create a thread here in this forum (Concepts, References, Resources) and call it perhaps something like, "Pose Requests with Ben Miller" or something similar. It's totally up to you as to whether or not you are interested. But I am sure people would find it a hugely valuable resource.

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

I don't know how, but I'd somehow I'd missed this until now (I guess I was sleeping, for three months....). Anyway, I am quite willing to help and I started a thread, I hope I did it correctly.

Ben,

Thank you kindly! I have moved your thread to the main page of the Anatomy Forum, so that more people might see it:

Pose requests with model Ben Miller - request a pose here

Thanks again for this great offer!

Cheers,

-Rebecca
