2d paintings in stages

I've just been looking at some of the fantastic artwork in the 2D gallery here on CGTalk. Does anyone have any links to similar high-quality 2D paintings with the stages of the painting disclosed as well, like a step-by-step process? Do the artists tend to disclose this type of thing?

Thanks.

Off the top of my head, have you looked at Robert Chang's and Chris Beatrice's websites? Both of them contain a number of tutorials that may be of interest to you. You may also like to see Carlos Cabrera's Watch and learn videos over at http://www.carloscabrera.com.ar/tutorials/

Of course I got all of these links from various places in CGtalk, so pardon me if you've seen all these already. Did you have anything specific in mind?

You should also check out the various entires in CG Challenge threads here on this site, like the just-finished "The Journey Begins" challenge. It's a contest where everyone is required to post their progress at various stages. Some people post as little as they can get away with but others fill up pages and pages of their process at every stage, which sounds like just what you're looking for!
