WIP, Witch of the Forest

Hi! Everybody.
This is my new WIP stuff titled "Witch of the Forest".
I just started by pencil and transferred it onto Photoshop.
I want to finish it better and, please, give me some pieces of your precious advice.

I love that first peice, it's like a modern spin on some old Tolkein illustrations--alan lee or brothers hildebrant or something, I forget which one. Keep it up!

Lovely work, maybe you could add some volume to the first one adding some higlights and some more shadows Well done anyways!

I like the pencil/photoshop mix. Nice style, too. I can't understand very well what's going on in the composition of the first, though. If the witch was on her own, it wouldn't be a problem, but the second figure raises some questions: what is he doing there? He looks slightly as if he's gagged and tied -- but it's all too hazy to make out. Perhaps a little definition would help? :)

Hello, Fumi.

I think your sketchier work, such as this, has a beautiful delicacy of line. I very much like, as illustrations, the monochromatic look with perhaps tints of color. I also had the opportunity to visit your site. I really love your Dreamgiver.

There are times you soften your work with a more airbrush type look. I think I prefer the firm grounding of your sketch and not let it get too diluted with the airbrush.

Wonderful, wonderful style. I agree completely with Cris on her comments about the softening.
Would love to see a texturey bigger version!

Thank you, cris. Thank you, iridyse.
I myself agree with you. Drawing is a "happy" process for me. Painting is "painful". I do not know what to do for colouring.

lovely style, I really love watching these ... the facial features are a bit generic at this point, but it might be intentional. maybe throw in more light play or something.
