HARDCORE MODELING!: THE DAVID: <<Bust >>
Ok huge challenge ahead! Not sure if this thread is in the right place? I noticed another one in the WIP section wich makes more sense, but no matter.
As this challenge is very hard core I've decided to model body parts as many as I can, but I would be happy to get the bust right(actually I would be more than happy, I would be exstatic!) I think this will be harder than it seems at first glance. Updates to come... |

Ok I just spent the last Hour or so straring at this thing...H*LY SH!T!!...I bow down to anyone who nails this...or any part of it for that matter! this monster is perfect from every angle! and ScanView is awesome Thank You Stanford!!
I think first thing is to do some drawings just trying to get this in my head. Here is the first one...just trying to work out the proportions and such. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Hamilcar : 04 April 2006 at 01:50 AM. |

Ok I really didn't want to rush into modeling on this one, instead I wanted to methodicaly study the David and plan how I would proceed. Here is one of the hand studies I did...
![]() Now I have started modeling, I blocked out the section I will be modeling using Zspheres and did some priliminary sculpting. I exported the mesh to maya in order to optimize the poly count and match the proportions to my reference. I'm also making heavy use of maya's joints to articulate and define the form. ![]() Last edited by Hamilcar : 04 April 2006 at 01:49 AM. |
