Random Material IDs

could someone tell me how to set random material IDs for particles?

Question Let's get this party started!

Yeah lets get this going,..

In Material Dynamic there is Sub-Material Rotoscoping with a Random option, that may help. As far as getting the ID's comming off the emmiter to jumble, well I dunno.

Here is a shape marker I created while looking into your question.

material frequency operator

I ended up using a material frequency operator (exactly what I needed). It assigns material IDs in the percentages you dictate. Very nice and flexible.
