Very Nice! I get a real sense of the coldness and desolation. How did you create this image?

Not bad. I think it could use a few things to make it more successful.
  1. Something in the extreme foreground to establish more depth.
  2. A character near the tower to establish scale. It's hard to tell how big it is at the moment. Maybe a group of guys doing something.

max, mostly cruising around the net for a cloud tutes, perspective tutes, etc. they should be all posted in the sticky threads soon enough. But I really was meaning the 3 dvds he has at gnomon, man they are awesome.

grey, yep there is a few issues, mostly scale. Still fairly new to this, but I have now 3-4 months more of perspective and such under my belt, so practice makes perfect.

I had a breakdown, I'll try to find and post it. It started with a photo of the landscape, then many other photo refs, and alot of painting and tweaking, corrections, etc.

almost there,,, just a few things to fix... the horizon is to straight compared to left side
(yellow) - could be right but it gives a strange balance/feel if you compare
the red circles is just things that steals unwanted attention like a to smooth break-line - or the usual flatness/shape and so on the tower seams right but not with that antenna - lose it or change that section,,,

good work man

edit- the ships are to -copy/past- maybe change the scale and texture
