Well it's not that bad for a start. Your balls of light could use more texture and breakup of the simple gradient circles that they are. Also more texture such as scratches, dirt, reflections can be added to the metal objects in the scene.

I think you could work on the shadows that are hitting the surface of the character, it looks to dirty rather than accurate!
