Terminator 3 website
Hi guys, I'm seriously impressed with the technical aspect of the T3 website... http://www.terminator3.com I mean my kar site http://www.kar.eyecandystudios.net is the "static" version of this in some respects... and I was scratching my head trying to figure out how I should tackle a fully database driven flash site... this would settle everything for me... Are they any good books? I mean I dug this one up http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...40620?vi=glance which seems to have some kicka$$ content... anyone?

those friends of ed books are very good, i can really recommend them, the flash php books, and they also do a flash dynamic studio book that's very good even though it's flash 5, most of the stuff stil holds true, although you can now control the loading of variables and text files much better than you could in the past, even having precloaders for text which is something not possible before.
then there's also flash mx server on macromedias website... you might want to check that out as you run your own server here... you could put that on there and away you go, that would be even easier... no learning of nasty php, perl or anything else (even though php is relatively easy for this sort of thing). anyhow good luck ![]() |

"Flash deConstruction" from juxt interactive.
Possibly the best book I have read regarding actionscripting, content management, XML etc etc.... Assumes a certain level of knowledge..but explains everything really really well ..... |

Very nice, but the trailer for the movie is murdered at the last scene, "she'll be back."
Oh god, that was horrible. __________________

I dont think the site was all that great. It was okay, but nothing special. The image of Terminator with the mist doesn't blend in with the background all that well. Oh well, maybe the movie will be better...
