Don't quite know what you mean Percy. What's keeping you from moving forward with the project?

If it will help, I just now tried making a "Micro Photo" look image using a technique posted some time back by Matt Drummond. He basically said ---

"you can get this effect with the standard shaders in EI.

Make a complete white bitmap, this can be small (128x128). Import this as a global reflection.
Make a material with following settings:

diffuse amount : 0
specular amount : 0
reflectivity amount : 1 (100%)

Choose the colour you want the edges to be in the colour well

Edge control amount :around 0.95 (experiment)
Edge control fallloff: between 0.5 and 1.6 (experiment)
Switch "use global maps" ON.
Luminance/Glow: under luminance color
Amount : 1
Choose the colour you want the rest of the shape to be
Geometry:
Apply some bump map"

It took some playing around but I came up with this:

and here's the project file: (right click and save as)

http://home.comcast.net/~787kfillmore/micro_test.prj

Of course this could be improved upon, but not bad for some quick tweaking.
