Modelling a pair of air jordans???

I was wondering if anybody could give me some tips on modelling sneakers in general? I'm trying to model Jordan Sneakers, and I'm hesitant to really start, because I'm trying to gather all the info I can get. Any tips are appreciated. I have good references from all angles, I just want to basically know how you guys would go about this task. I'm using max 6 by the way. Thanks.

ps. I 'm also prefer box modelling technique

Hi

First you should find front and side (and top and bottom if you have it) images of the shoe and make useable imagesplanes in Photoshop (so that they will be the same size) then Put it in to Max and just make the cube and start cutting and pulling verts ... there is not much more to it

if you have alot of reference and can make good imageplanes the model will be much better than if you just work from "memory"
