Question Brazil Softshadows

Hi,

I'm using Brazil quite a few days now and I like it a lot. But still ...

Is it possible to create softshadows with Brazil & how can I use Brazil and still use my render-effects ???

Hi there,

If you want the ultimate in soft shadows, use the skylight option and one light. Alternately you could use object lights (self-illuminating textured objects).

There's an area light script at http://www.trinisica.com to simulate area lights.

However, in the final release of Brazil, there will be soft "area" lights which are quick and create very soft shadows.

The render effects do not work in the current public build (I think), but will work in the final release.

Here is an example I did using skylight and one area light in Brazil.

As you can see, lovely soft shadows.

Regards,
Nik
