Concept Sketch: Ur Photo

This is the third time I've entered a CGchallange. I've made this simple in hopes that this will be one that I complete ;)

The idea is a photo-real aliens among us image.

Fingers crossed!

Getting the simple out of the way. Very standard U.F.O. ;)

I'm considering a metal cloth jumpsuit for Ur. So for now he will have boots as to the reason he has no feet :)

Any thoughts on Skin type welcome!

Good start. I like the eye reflections and the proportions look nice. I would make his arms and legs skinnier and show some more muscle definition. Keep going!

All the while I've been thinking about doing an actual musculature system for him in A.C.T. Your comment has pushed me into the "I'm doing it" range

She shouldn't need any pants for this scene so I'll only model them if she doesn't frame as in my concept sketch.

Modeling: Kate Hair

This is Kate's pre-dynamic hair. The rendering doesn't make me happy but it shows the general shape of things to come.

Modeling: Ur Frame (Rough Out)

Here I have made the mountains and set the scene for the shot aspect ratio. I have also done the dynamics on the hair as well as putting Kate together. She is skinned but still in T pose until I do the cloth simulation.

Lighting: Ur Scene Lighting

Here is the light set up. This background plates lighting will be used for the rest of the components. I have added a cloud ship as a mother ship as inspired by Spielbergs "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."
