I finally have the time, resources and a small level of improved skill to enter the challenge in earnest this year! I'm working towards submitting my preliminary concept sketch as soon as possible. I'm fairly certain it's original, so hopefully it will be refreshing!

Good luck to all. Every year I meet more and more talented and energetic people in this community, and can only hope they stop by to give valuable critique to my efforts.

Concept Sketch: You are Fired!

Thinking about the spectacular theme, I wanted to express the spectacular of the mundane.
So, I am depicting a rather extreme way to be "given notice".
How much more painful would it be to lose your job screaming at 200 kms an hour through a plate glass window? That is what it feels like to many.

Concept Sketch: You are Fired 2

I will be rendering these sketches more fully so they are easier to understand.

hey erilaz I like your idea. I think I prefer the first sketch so far...more spectacular. You could perhaps put the camera a bit on top of the falling man in order to show thats on 50th floor or something...

Wild idea!

About your concepts: I really like the first one much more spectacular what comes to composition. It does not really show the height of the building though, but I guess you were planning to use a reflection on the building?

Anyhow, very wild idea and lots of motion. Keep em coming!

Concept Sketch: You are fired 3

A more solid sketch. Thanks for the encouragement guys! I am still not sure if this will be a serious or comic scene... Leaning towards serious at this stage, but not certain yet.
And yes, I agree with those that said the first concept angle is better. More confronting! I will see how the angles feel when I start the modelling.
