my mascot wip



my wip for the november contest...
huummm may be would this endet off topic...but i started to love him....

hummm.. ok heīsstill off topic for the contest.. ( nothing to identificate him with lw... )
but i couldīnt stop to play with him...
let say this it is a cg x-plorator :-)

the hose coming down from his cap.. would be make later cause i have first to figure how to make them...


the texturing is still a early wip..
only testing the setup.. still not prerfect..but i feel i have to show it..

thx for comment and idea..

The untextured version looked okay, but now it looks great!
How do you get the effect of his clothes like that? Is it just a gradient on incidence angle in the colour channel?

hoo.. and teh surface on the cloth.. is not acolor gradient..
itīs brdf shader..
and a gradient on the difuse

I don't think it's the best idea to be posting wips for a contest you're entering at LW. I mean, now I know what to do to cream you for the contest

Are that glass balls? Why not snowballs...It's Winter soon

I also like the style of the picture!!! Looks so....unusual...different from normal pictures.

Can U show US how U do that?

may be did someone have some ideas how to make the setup from the "air tube " better ??
for the moment they have 20 bone and 3 ik null
may be have someone another solution ??
a ik spline deformer solution like in maya would be really nice
btw..
praised be pazur with his acs3 !!!! ( i use a modiffied version to start my setup )

to daniel : yep for the moment i try to developpe.. new look
to get something that dont look classic cg or cel shader..
may be i would write a tuttorial later..

to gabe : tu connais la suite. hehe.. lol

to fourd : humm i dont want to cream your mascot .. let us see it ....
and not io dont think .. i should keep it secret cause..
i dont even think to have a chance to win...
this charachter has not any lw or newtek logo..
only a 7.5.. lol..
i juste submit it for the fun .. not tbelieve that he could win... cause heīs complet off topic..
