Texture Art Test - COMRESSOR

Hi all.

I had to make an old, dirty texture for LP compressor model.
Here is almost finished effect of my 6h work :

looks pretty good to me! one suggestion

not sure if this is the case for your piece, but if it were outside where it might get rained on over the years, then there would be streaks of either rusty water, or nasty dirty water coming from corners of where the objects are attatched. for example, there probally would be a streak of rust water stain where the end of the hand meets the compresser. also where the corners of the motor mount attatches to the main shape. like I said, it may not be the case for your prop, depending what type of environment it is in, but water always gathers and run off at corners connections points.

I agree with itsallgood. I think you have a great base of decay and grime. I like how you textured the front of the tank, where the head attaches. It looks like some chemical erosion coming from whats inside.

In critique, I would say to not forget to texture the front stand/support. The way your handle attaches to the tank bugs me a bit as well. I can understand how it would be attached, with screws into the pipe, but its not evident at first glance. Sort of minor, but these guys could be picky when reviewing your work.

Nice work dude. I like it. But I think that the bump on the paper is to strong, so the same with spec on the connection between metals.

Nice work on the textures mate, and nice colors.

THX Poraszek. Indeed specular is maybe too strong.
