divx compression; how?

i made some nice animations but it is about 300 megs and only 20 seconds long. i have divx codec, how can i compress with c4d?

Though I don't know c4d, I would belive that you select .avi as output when rendering and then choose the divx codec.

But.. yes there is always a but... I would suggest that you either render out as uncompressed or even better to an image sequence and then do the animation assembly and compression in a program like Premiere. I bet there are other freeware tools to do this.

If you render out as an uncompressed avi, then you can use Virtual Dub to compress it to divx. Virtual Dub is free and a very cool tool.
