You've got some talent there.

I like the ship in the middle of the city. I think it give everything a better sense of scale.

Hi,

I like this image the best so far.

I'll offer some crits if you don't mind, but I'm no expert on matte setup or 3D envoriments. I'm more of a character modeller.

I think the snow on the top of the buildings looks more like a white glow then snow. The thin vertical windows in the buildings are creating a bit of antialaising problems. Try using a better filter to render with.

Maybe fewer sun beams would look better, and not so large and thick. I don't know, cause air effects are hard to perfect.

The background image of the mountains doesn't match the perspective of the city.

Looking forward to your next update.

At the moment I canīt figure out where the focus should be in this scene. The tall buildings, the ship, sunbeams?
Itīs a snow scene, right, but there should be at least one thing with a bit more contrast or colour where you can park your eye on.
Itīs too much at the moment.

Hello,

really thanks for your crits.
At moment is my target to modelling an big city, all pics that i have made are only work on progress mattepaintings of my scene.
My target is to create an big freeze future city with heal parts and destroyed parts because of the many big snowfreeze. My focus at moment is the "city" to create it....and in the next weeks i will create a few Survivors with SnowAnimals.
@Mastermind
Thanks for your crits,i was really happy about this.Yes at moment its difficult to understand really my idea or what is the focus of my scene.I will make this better in next time...at moment is my focus to create an really interesting environment...all my postet mattepaintings are only the beginning of my Work for this competition.

Ps:Ich freue mich schon auf Spellforce2lol

Looking good. One thing though, the mist looks a bit thick. In my experience, when it's cold and frozen, the air actually looks clearer then when it's warm and sunny. If it's snow (and not mist or fog) then you could try adding some larger snow flakes closer to the camera to give the viewer a better idea.

BTW I just looked at your Dark Dreaming Girl, love it! really cool gothic feel to it.. just though I would post here instead of resurecting an old thread!

Great work Sandro! Got only one crit though: as stated before, there are too many beams and IMO it looks as if I'm looking at the scene behind glass!

Thanks,

Hey man your doing great so far :d, tough most of the ppl already said what i wanted to say...

anywayz.. it looks good, but don't get angry or something... but i dont like the styl of the buildings it looks to..... futuristic or something, and it looks... alive... i see a ship of this time in a time of 2030? Plus what i meanth with alive was the lights look on and stuff, i know its a W.I.P, try making colpased buildings or buildings you know moved around a bit cauze it looks like the ground is stil straight while actuly the ground is up and down... also try reducing the mist, and make things look ... erhm dead kinda..

heheh ok thats it

and once again your doing great best so far

Keep it up dude
