One Quickie - I live in hope...
New to Vue, am using 5. This is probably easy to answer by you experts, but cannot seem to solve it myself.
1. .Dem files - How do I get a true to life result. Landscapes always turn out very spikey.
Many thanks for any help, and for the patience that that involves.

Dem-files are grayscales - sort of. Maybe they have a lot of noise in there already.
What you should check as well is wether there is a function applied to the terrain by default. The last icon to the right in the top row of little icons in terrain editor. I forgot wether this has an influence but worth checking. I have that reset completely.
What you can try to do as well is to smoothen the terrain after. Or export the terrain as jpg, smooth that in Photoshop (if that is the problem) and reload that into ther terrain. Don't forget to reset the terrain first when you try that.
It is nice to be important,
but it is more important to be nice.
