DESTINY - CG Short Film



Destiny is a short film project in the early stages of production. The approximate length of the short is 15 minutes.

Log line: Two sisters fight for control of an empire.

Milestones met:
  • Script completed (16 pages)
  • Test animation completed (sword duel) - this is not final animation, characters, renders, or sound. View it (windows media 9)
  • Pipeline test (MotionBuilder, 3dsmax, combustion, premiere)

Immediate needs:
  • Character Animators - MotionBuilder
  • Dynamic Hair Modeler - Ornatrix or max hair
  • Dynamic Cloth Modeler - max cloth or simcloth
  • Lighting Artist - 3dsmax
  • Environment modeler
  • Concept artist

Future needs:
  • Visual Effects Artist - particle flow, afterburn, reactor
  • Composer
  • Sound Designer (foley artist)


Team Members:
  • Markcus Dunn - Writer/Director
  • Michele Martin - Actress

Sounds Nice

Sounds really great, i am really looking forward to seeing the finished film

am i right in thinking that you have the characters rigged and ready to go for motionbuilder

Yes I do. I'm setting them up to use voice reality in MB as well.

i dont have huge experience in MB, but am looking for a project where i can learn motionbuilder fully, if i can help let me know

as far as i got last time, its takes a second or two to load, but it will

update for anyone that wishes one, have read markdc's script, i think its awesome, and covers every base for a short film, and a few more

hey markdc

been firing up MB to get ready for the story boards and stuff, small test run from freely available mocap on the net

you need the 3ivx codec to view www.3ivx.com

it plays at less than realtime, but thats down to how i make my html files i think

anyway, getting excited about this
