just getting sub'd on this thread - i am still interested in maxwell but figure may as well wait closer to the oct release date to see how it progresses. i just fear the c4d connection will be the stepchild compared to maya and max. that is how thier realflow connection is too so i am a little concerned about spending my cash yet.

my attempts with maxwell and c4d. to be honest its gottem a lot better now, cause i can actually get the textures working on 100% of my projects now. its a bit faster than it was before. all in all im happy with the way it looks like its going.

1st pic using physical sky and sun took 30mins to render
2nd pic using one cube set as an light emitter also 30 mins (a bit to grainy but a longer render would have solved that)
3rd pic 2 hours (if i remembered right) physical sky and sun only. made it black and white in photoshop to make use of the grain (ie old photo type :/ )
any questions about the other settings please feel free to ask

P.s its really getting to me when i forget to close the console down before closing c4d, thus making c4d crash every time i try to open it, until i move the plugin from the c4d folder.

Are you looking for a demo or for trouble?

Question

I would not expect a demo anytime in the near term as the program is still in Beta development.
