Arrow 'It's just me now'- Soldier facing death on his on. C&C needed.

Hey all! I'm posting because i'm in need of feedback on what i could fix and to get some ideas. Frankly i'm bit stuck with this one atm. So if you have any bright ideas i'd like to hear them I have worked extra quickly on this one and now i think i'll slow it down and work on some details.

The story behind this goes somewhat like this. The soldier has just buried his last comrade and is now facing certain death all by himself. He is desperate and flegmatic and death is wishpering to him that he has come to take him soon but not quite yet.

Okay- yeah that was a bad explanation but you'll get the idea.

Thanks for your time!

This is an awesome piece. I love the mood and atmosphere, and the soldier's pose says magnitudes. The selective use of color is a nice touch, too.

My only real concern is that the bottom left is a little too dark and featureless. Some hint of form would help the piece, I think. A possibly frivolous suggestion would be to shape the eyeholes of the gasmask in a sort of sad, despondent sort of look.

Otherwise, I really like this.

I really like this. I love the limited use of color you have going on. I think that if you were to push the skull further into the background it would work better. It seems to be competing with the helmet as is.
