Final Escape

A Half Life 2 Modification is looking for concept artists.

We can be found at www.final-escape.com .

We have a huge following on Half Life community sites and are a higly anticipated modification.

- About -
Story - Public Version
You are a low key researcher for the research and development
corporation Bioglobe.
Your Research for the most part is slow, tedious and boring, and
today was the start of another night shift. As you soon find out, a
fire has flared up in a section of the building, and the evacuation
process has begun, but will you and your colleagues escape before
the fire engulfs the entire place....
During your daring and heated escape you stumble on a secret plot
to steal a top bio-genetic experiment and as the episode draws
to a conclusion you are entangled in an explosive and nail biting
fight to stop the theft taking place, while the building collapses
around you and a full blown attack is drawing to a conclusion, will you
find a way to escape this hell, or will you choose to save the day by
getting the virus back!!

Mod looks awesome man good luck with it. Post more info about the positions your seek to fill and what the requirments are in this thread to try and generate more of a response. Good luck to you again

Ok mate thanks, here are the positions we require:

Concept Artist

Position One
Administration Personnel Concepts

We required concepts of Administration personnel for the start of game, these will be both male and female and will be a total of at least 6 different character types. All characters will be NPC's that will interact with the player. These characters must be in clean tidy clothing like office type clothing, additional (holding/carrying) items can be added for depth of character. Each character must have a name badge hanging from their pocket or trouser/skirt/shirt pocket, please research before applying, we are looking for a very realistic and full concept of characters. Also break each person down to face, etc. and have multiple angels of each character for any defining features such as glasses, jewellery, etc.

All applicants must submit an example screen-shot to myself via email or msn (
hinbol@hotmail.com) to see your actual experience.

Position Two

Also break each person down to face, etc. and have multiple angels of each character for any defining features such as glasses, jewellery, etc.

Other Jobs

Level Designers

Must have a good knowledge of the map editor 'Hammer' and the building
of fully detailed maps. They must be willing to put in time and effort towards
the modification and work in a team. A Portfolio of your past work would also
be a great advantage.

Modellers

Must be able to create unique renders for the modification. Must be able to
work on their own initiative and be self motivated. Must be able to work
in a team and be willing put in time and effort towards the modification.
A portfolio of past work would be a great advantage so we can see your
modelling skills

Concept Artists

Must create individual and unique work towards the modification. Working
on their own initiative to create Hi-Res concept drawings.

Sequence Developers

Are required to organise and develop in game sequences for areas of scripted
sequences, cinematography, speech and movement requirements

Promoters

Must be able to promote the modification across the Half Life 2 community.
This would be done through the process of either affiliation, banners, forums
and word to word etc. Your responsibility would be to ensure that everyone
knows
the modification exists and more importantly what Final Escape is about.

We are mainly looking for concept artists to create Map Ideas for the Modification and also a Video Trailer would be awesome.

Patience is a virtue, Hinbol, I'm sure you'll get people's interest soon. Keep in mind that most of the people in here are already committed to other collaborative projects. Meanwhile, you can post links to HL forums where this is being discussed/promoted. (I've noticed the link to the Mod site, but any other place people can jump to wouldn't hurt) Good luck with it, looks like a really interesting idea, I like the bit about the complex collapsing while you're trying to prevent the theft.
