Filenames with numbers and hyphens

I just recieved a bunch of footage from the telecine folks. For some reason they decided to name the resulting image sequences using only numbers and hyphens (e.g. 11283212-1.tif, 11283212-2.tif, etc) This confuses the hell out of Shake.

Is there an escape character or anything like that I can use to tell shake to ignore the hyphen. Like 11283212\-1-240@.tif

I'd rather not rename the sequences as others are working on this footage and it's a hell of a lot of files.

Thanks!
