Hi8, still alive?

i need make a professional documentary, and i have a short budget.... i can buy a Sony DXC 327 TV Camera, but i don´t now if still like a valid choice...¿ somebody can help me? (sorry for my english)

well whatever you can do your project on is good enough, but Hi8 is analog and you will have to either edited it cam to deck, or have an analog to digital convertor to get the analog into a DV format to edit on your computer. or spend a bit more and get a DV camera.

I know my mom picked up a brand new Canon DV camera for about 400$.

a analog to DV convertor is going to cost a few bucks by itself.
